- Forged and Hidden in the Secret Place
Forged and Hidden in the Secret Place
To forge is to make or shape by heating an object (like a sword) in a fire or furnace and beating or hammering it. The process of forging is uncomfortable and can be painful. Just as anointing oil comes from the crushing and pressing of olives, the Lord is forging us in His fire to prepare and purify us to be sharp weapons for His use. When we struggle with shame or guilt from sin we want to hide FROM God. When we are wounded and struggling with issues in our lives we tend to put up walls to protect ourselves. Instead of hiding ourselves and protecting ourselves, the LORD is wanting to hide, cover, and protect US. He desires for us to be hidden IN HIM. So go hide in the Lord in the secret place with Him. There is life, healing, restoration, and GLORY in the secret place.
“The LORD called Me from the womb; From the body of My mother, He named Me. He has made My mouth like a sharp sword, In the shadow of His hand He has concealed Me, And He has also made Me a select arrow, He has hidden Me in His quiver. He said to Me, “You are My Servant, Israel, In Whom I will show My glory.”” Isaiah 49:1-3
