The Lord has given you a staff. A staff is comfort, support, leadership, authority, and it assists people in their spiritual walk. It can protect, discipline, and draw people into safety. It’s made of wood which is humility and compassion.
You are like a shepherd. You guard, protect, and watch over people. You lead and guide them to the path of life and to green pastures. Because you are humble and yielded to Me, you are able to shepherd people’s hearts with My words of life. You lead by example. Your heart is to help and serve and you don’t mind getting your hands dirty. You are not afraid of hard work because you know that I am in the mundane as well as the big things. When you serve Me by helping others, it is as an act of worship to Me.
“Therefore, I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.” Romans 12:1
““I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.” John 10:11
“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.” Psalms 23:1-3
