- Build Yahweh an Altar
Build Yahweh an Altar
When the word of the Lord came to Gideon, the first thing he did was make a personal offering (a sacrifice) to the Lord. Our altar is a place of sacrifice and exchange. There is a price that must be paid for the fire of God to fall.
Gideon had to first build his own private altar to the Lord in secret before he could tear down the stronghold of the region.
Gideon named his altar “Yahweh Shalom”. Even though he was fearful, and his nation was in turmoil and chaos, he had to remember who God really is and what is His nature.
“Yahweh Shalom” The Lord is peace; The Lord is prosperity; The Lord is wellness, The Lord is provision, The Lord is safety; the Lord is rest; The Lord is wholeness!
We need to know I AM! I Am Rapha (Healer), I Am Jireh (Provider), I Am Nissi (Banner of Victory)!
Daily we must build and lay upon our own altar of sacrifice and surrender to I Am. We need to know who our God is and who we are IN Him. We must allow the forging and refining so that we may tear down the idols and unholy altars in our life, family, region, and our nation in order to rebuild the altar of the Lord.
